Job Summary

Avis Budget Group (“ABG”), LLC, is searching for an Operational Auditor to join our Field Administration Accounting Audit team based in Virginia Beach. This job contributes to the success of Avis Budget Group by being responsible for auditing transactions completed in various ABG systems to insure compliance with the policies and procedures set forth by ABG.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: See disclaimer below. The essential duties and responsibilities as well as knowledge, skills and abilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Identify opportunities for improving business processes based on audit outcomes to minimize risks.

  • All revenue and non-revenue transactions are subject to audit; responsible for in-depth reviews and evaluations of these transactions.

  • Record audit findings once completed.

  • If a policy or procedure infraction is discovered in the audit, the auditor must request an explanation from the responsible party and assess a monetary charge for non-compliance when the situation warrants.

  • Communicate findings to ABG Management.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Types of Audits: Budget Truck Audits: Modifications, Backdating, Manual Agreement Compliance, Dealer Business, Credit Card Exceptions, Revenue Adjustment, Transfer Fuel, Missing and Excessive Miles. Other Audits: Credit Card Decline Audit, DivTRAK DBE Reporting, Small Business Application and P-Card Audits.

Required Experience:

  • High school graduate and some college preferred

  • Three years audit experience reviewing and researching documents to identify compliance issues and other anomalies.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organization skills

  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); knowledge of MS Access databases

  • Must have a high level of accuracy & confidentiality

  • Must be detailed oriented & have the ability to multi-task

  • Must be able to exercise good judgment

  • Analytical &critical thinking skills

  • Attention to detail & a high level of accuracy

  • Willingness to collaborate with team members & members of other departments

  • Good customer service & conflict resolution skills
