Job Description:

JOB OBJECTIVE : Responsible for owning select waterwork categories in the online channel and working with the Product team to develop the online strategy for these waterwork product categories. Executes day to day merchandising updates across multiple websites within multiple ecommerce systems. Focus on driving sales and margin growth in the channel while supporting the overall eBusiness strategy. They will manage on site promotions as well as optimizing the customer shopping experience in the categories. They will use creative ideas to drive unique shopping experiences across different customer segment groups. The Merchandiser will also assess the competitive landscape around their categories to stay best in class online.


  • Undergraduate Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred

  • Ecommerce experience preferred

  • Product knowledge of Waterworks products and manufacturers preferred

  • In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by management.

  • Partners with the Product managers and Senior Merchandisers to execute an online strategy to grow sales and margin for the waterworks business

  • Work with key vendors to promote their products through the online channel

  • Work with Marketing and the Product team to develop and execute online campaigns and promotions for waterworks customers

  • Work with the Digital Marketing team to optimize online traffic to your categories

  • Build category and landing pages on the assigned categories to optimize the customer experience

  • Analyze customer pathing through the site to the category to find opportunities to increase conversions

  • Ensure merchandising content is relevant and up-to-date

  • Work with vendors and content team to gather all the proper attributes and images needed to increase sales

  • Work with the findability team to optimize search and navigation around the categories

  • Review product refiners and key specifications to enhance the browsing experience and drive conversion

  • Analyze and update cross-sell and up-sell products on the assigned category products

  • Routinely audit the site for issues to make sure the customer experience is best in class

  • Provide reporting around key objectives and projects

  • Shop competitor sites to provide insight to the merchandising team on potential opportunities

  • Research and execute A/B testing or targeting ideas to increase conversion rates and sales

  • Work with merchandising team to update personalization algorithms

  • Research and develop product recommendations across different customer segments

  • Work within multiple ecommerce systems: CMS, Experience Manager, Adobe Reporting, and more

  • Work projects across multiple websites and mobile platforms
