External Job Description:
The candidate will provide broad and extensive technical leadership for multiple scale ship monitoring and control system engineering development models (EDMs) that support ships under construction and in service fleet; Responsibilities include design, procurement, installation, configuration, documentation, and testing. Act as the technical authority for hardware components; responsibilities include providing technical input for hardware configuration, hardware integration with shipboard system, interface with hardware lead for procurement and test of new hardware, troubleshooting, and technical input for system technical manual development. Act as waterfront liaison for installation and testing of shipboard components. Additional responsibilities include; maintaining the physical security of the classified IT assets in the facility, maintaining the security documentation required by DSS and O15, act as a technical authority for the integration of Platform IT systems with test apparatus (TA), maintenance and modernization of the TA hardware, migrate the existing IT network to virtualized servers, and implementation of RMF security controls on the IT network.
